The Aquilo story
We have since the late 1980’s designed and manufacture boats and other products in Glasfibre. At first mainly for other OEM-customers but recently also in our own name. The kayak division started in 1998 and was a result of that we got more and more kayak orders from companies in Germany. Aquilo is a spin off from the kayak division when we later decided to design as well as market a kayak under our own name.
Our owners are from Finland and Poland. They have been involved in watersport business in almost all their life and they are both devoted yakers with experience as guides at paddle tours in New Zeeland as well as in Iceland. In fact the embryo to the new Aquilo was born during a paddle tour in Iceland. |
